YEAR 2000 (Y2K) COMPLIANCE
Recently, we have received several calls regarding the D.I.R.T.® System's compliance to the potential problems regarding the date change at the year 2000 . To address this important issue, we have prepared the following statements. Image Pro Plus: To better serve our customers and solutions partners, Media Cybernetics has prepared the following Year 2000 compliance statement. In essence, Image-Pro Plus, Gel-Pro and Materials-Pro versions 3.0 and above, for the PC, will not be effected when the year 2000 arrives. Image-Pro Plus, and Materials-Pro versions 3.0 and above for the PC do not store or use two digit date codes. In addition, Image-Pro Plus and its associated products do not process information based upon any dating structure. The software uses the Microsoft Windows operating system, which is based on the four-digit date coding format, for all dating functions. The Image-Pro Plus v3.0, Gel-Pro v3.0, and Materials-Pro v3.0 databases, which are based on Microsoft Access, also use four-digit date coding and are therefore Year 2000 compliant. CompassPoint/Dirt Library:** TBG Imaging has confirmed that all versions of CompassPoint Visual Database software are Year 2000 compliant. CompassPoint and the Dirt Library do not use dates for any calculations, nor does it depend upon dates for any of it's functionality. (** There is a minor problem regarding the datefield display. Click on Tech. Support for correction details). D.I.R.T.® for Windows: Our software uses the Microsoft Windows operating system, which is based on the four-digit date coding format, for all dating functions. D.I.R.T.® for Windows does not store or use two digit date codes. In addition, D.I.R.T.® For Windows and its associated products do not process information based upon any dating structure. Microview USA Inc therefore confirms that all versions of the D.I.R.T.® for Windows Software is Year 2000 compliant. Should you require any additional information, please contact.
