PAINT DEFECT ANALYSIS WORKSHOP

Microview has established a series of Paint Defect Analysis Workshops to assist clients in developing a better understanding of the area of paint defect analysis including detection methods and problem solving.

It takes a complex combination of commitment and scientific resources to solve chronic paint defect problems. Often, companies do not have the necessary blend of experience and knowledge to determine the root cause of their problems. This workshop will provide a solid framework so that you will be able to implement immediately what you have learned.

Let our experts show you how to identify and solve your paint defect problems before they interfere with production and quality.

Feel free to bring some samples for our experts and your colleagues, to view and identify under the microscope.

Register for a Paint Defect Analysis Workshop today.

The Plan-Do-Check-Action Continuous Improvement Flow Chart

  • Review the seven components of a paint defect analysis training
  • Identify the six daily activities of a paint defect analyst
  • Identify who should be on your Dirt Team and why
  • Summarize the program in the Plan-Do-Check-Action process improvement flow chart

Day 2

  • Learn new microscopy techniques and how they apply to paint defect analysis
  • Practice using the two types of commonly used microscopes in defect identification
  • Learn and practice two paint defect sample preparation techniques
  • Learn how to develop a dirt Library for your organization
  • Practice the three essential SPC techniques used for monitoring your paint process

DAY 3 (optional)

  • We will spend Day 3 practicing the Sample Preparation Techniques on paint defect samples that you bring to the class, taken from your process.
  • We will use either a DIRT II or a DIRT III microscope to do this and Identify the contamination causing the defect.
  • After summarizing all of the defects identified, we will convert the data into a practical Pareto Chart that you can take back to your Paint Process and use to begin solving problems.
